The CIEM offers two free concerts to celebrate Christmas
The Island Center of Musical Education (CIEM), attached to the Council of Education of the Cabildo of Lanzarote celebrates this Christmas with two attractive Christmas concerts, which will also mean the closure of the first quarter of this year.
Thus, next Tuesday, December 18 at 9:00 pm at the Church of San Ginés in Arrecife will be held the first of these concerts. Under the direction of Alicia García and Javier Díaz in the organ, the Coro y Corito de Niños of CIEM, will perform the exquisite Messe de Minuit by Marc Antoine Charpentier. This work is based on the popular Christmas carols of the Middle Ages.
Also, the Theater El Salinero de Arrecife will host next Thursday, December 20 at 6.30 pm, the representation of the musical story “On Christmas …”, a work aimed especially at the little ones. It is a Christmas story with a script by the percussion teacher of CIEM, Marta Palczarska, adapted and narrated by Isabel Cabrera and the musical arrangements of Javier Pastoriza. This work will have the participation of a large number of students and teachers of the center and with the collaboration of the Classical Dance School of Hania Falkowska.
Admission to the two concerts is free until full capacity is reached. For the musical story “On Christmas …”, it is necessary to collect invitations, which will be available at the El Salinero Theater box office, starting at 5.30pm. of the day of the performance, next December 20.
