 In Canary Islands, Music, News

Lanzarote Ensemble put on stage for the first time all their work and potential in two concerts held on January 5 on the eve of the Day of Kings.

The two recitals took place in the Plaza del CIC El Almacén and in the Insular Hospital of Lanzarote. The success of the public was evident, evidencing the need for a set of these characteristics within the island of Lanzarote.

The objective

‘Lanzarote Ensemble’ proposes to be a flexible formation, that attends to the different situations, scenarios and repertoires. The newly created works will be fundamental in this project, with which the original composition will be one of the usual tools that will be included in your proposal. In short, aspires to be an innovative, malleable, functional and above all professional ensemble.

In this context, the project aims to create a stable concert schedule and sufficiently spaced in time to ensure the assumption of the same by the public. This stability is one of the strongest purposes given that all professional training, to meet the level of demand of the highest standards, needs continuity, regular habit of rehearsals and of course, a fixed schedule of concerts.

The musicians

The ensemble will be directed by, the also composer and clarinetist, Ayoze Rodríguez. This announced that, in addition to classical pieces, Lanzarote Ensemble will commission the composition of works to authors from Lanzarote and the Canary Islands for its world premiere. For the selection has been contacted with COSIMTE, the Association of Composers of the Canary Islands, and among the authors that are shuffled are the names of Dori Díaz Jerez, Leandro Martín Quinteros or Samuel Aguilar.

The rest of the members are the musicians Pablo Araya, Manolo Becerra, Alberto Blanco, Pablo Blanco, Iván Curbelo, Marta Curbelo, Cristo Delgado, Javier Díaz, Miguel Angel García, Modesto González, María Larumbe, Tania Mesa, Bruno Muñoz, Ana Muñoz, Rosalinda Pradillo, Marta Palczarska, Jonas Quesada, Ivanoff Rodíguez, Salvador Santana, Javier Santos, Sara Sánchez and Ayoze Rodríguez himself.
