The newspaper ABC has collected in an article the work of the Association of Wine Museums of Spain, which after more than fifteen years of the celebration of its first congress today has 30 members distributed throughout the Spanish geography. One of them is located in the Lanzarote municipality of San Bartolomé: it is Bodegas El Grifo.

This association aims to promote knowledge and cooperation for the promotion and defense of common activities related to viticulture. In addition, the unicón seeks the diffusion of a wine culture in general and the protection of the particular areas where this practice is rooted, as in La Geria, favoring the union of man with the landscape.

Among the members of this group are some of the largest wineries in Spain, either by volume, quality or both. Also, without direct connection to wineries, centers located in municipalities with a long wine tradition.

Dynasty Vivanco, in Briones (La Rioja); Pagos del Rey, in Morales de Toro (Zamora); Barbadillo, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Cádiz); Emina, in Valbuena de Duero (Valladolid); López Heredia, in Haro (La Rioja); and, of course, El Grifo, are just some of the good examples.

Maintaining the wine culture, its tradition and its dissemination through wine tourism is the way forward for the support of a sector of enormous importance.
