The project ‘Barrios orquestados’ seeks musicians in the neighborhood of Altavista
The musical-social and pedagogical project ‘Barrios Orquestados’ wants to extend to the Altavista neighborhood. After the success obtained in Argana, where it has managed to link part of the educational and social community in the initiative, it seeks to achieve the same in this neighborhood of Arrecife.
Therefore, since yesterday, March 19 and tomorrow, Wednesday, March 20, interviews are being made with the parents and students of CEIP Los Geranios in Altavista who want to participate in the project. This Wednesday is the last day to participate in this interview. It will be from 16:00 hours in the school itself.
Those interested can formalize the registration to attend the free music classes and, subsequently, be part of a new string orchestra that is intended to create this neighborhood.
The students, from 6 years of age and up to 12, will receive free classes at Los Geranios school to learn to play stringed musical instruments such as the violin, the viola, the violoncello or the double bass.
Many families already attend free music awareness classes and have become part of the first Arrecife String Orchestra. The activity developed in Argana has counted on the involvement of more than 60 children.
