Folkloric Group ‘Coros y Danzas’, Canary Islands Gold Medal 2019

The Folkloric Group Coros y Danzas de Arrecife has been awarded with the Gold Medal of the Canary Islands 2019. Just a few months ago the folkloric group celebrated its 60th anniversary on stage representing the tradition of Lanzarote and Canarian dance and music.

In all this time the folk group have made known throughout the world the artistic and cultural heritage of Lanzarote, helping to maintain it from generation to generation.

Next Monday, April 1, the Governing Council of the Canary Islands will ratify the award of the Gold Medal to the Arrecife Chorus and Dance Association. The winners will collect their medal in the Institutional Act of the Canary Islands Day that will take place next 30 May at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
