Three workshops to celebrate the European Craft Days
During this week and until next Sunday, 19 European countries and territories will bring their artisan crafts, both the most traditional and the most modern, to the population, thanks to the celebration of the European Craft Days.
In Lanzarote, a complete program has been organized to promote culture and crafts as distinctive elements of the island’s tangible and intangible heritage, with workshops aimed at the youngest members of the island during the school day.
In addition, a series of activities for all audiences has also been established for this weekend. Some of the workshops that the young people of the island have already been able to carry out will be transferred to the markets of Haría and Teguise.
This Saturday, April 6, the workshop of repainting of shirts will be held in the Market of Haría; and on Sunday, April 7, two other workshops open to the entire population will be held at the Teguise market. Specifically, in Teguise the workshop called ‘Around the World’ will be held, with papier mache will create earth globes, and the workshop ‘Duendemania’ hand-cut glass.
