Opening acts of the centenary of César Manrique organized by the FCM

The César Manrique Foundation (FCM) will hold, between April 24 and May 8, the opening ceremonies of the centenary of the birth of César Manrique. During two weeks, the institution will develop initiatives of very different sign with which will begin a year full of activities carried out by relevant figures of culture and science.

On April 24, the date on which César Manrique would celebrate 100 years, commemorations will start with a special party in Taro de Tahíche, in which the artist’s centenary will be celebrated, which will last between 7:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. hours.

The following is a summary of the inaugural activities that will take place between April 25 and May 8, and will be detailed and expanded in specific press releases:

April 25th

11:00 am Reception of the “Canarian Association Award of Urban Law to the Trajectory” to César Manrique (posthumously)

7:00 pm Conference by Fernando Savater – Headquarters César Manrique Foundation

April 26

12:30  Act of institutional recognition of the cultural work of César Manrique – Aula Magna of La Laguna University. Intervention of the president and director of the FCM
