José Antonio Martín Corujo presented the collection of stories ‘On this side of the sea’
The Theater of San Bartolomé overwhelmed the presentation of the book ‘To this side of the sea’ by José Antonio Martín Corujo, a native of San Bartolomé, professor of Mathematics of Secondary Education who has been awarded his teaching work with the medal “Viera y Clavijo” . He is an Academic collaborator of the Canary Islands Academy of Language and the Royal Canary Islands Academy of Sciences.
The presentation of the book was a cultural event scheduled to commemorate the Day of the Book in the municipality of San Bartolomé, which was attended by a large audience that wanted to accompany the author in this new journey.
The act’s conductor, Juan Cruz Sepúlveda, stressed that all the stories “besides being written with a great poetic charge and a rare tenderness, end in surprising and surprising endings”.
Other works
Martín Corujo published for the first time in the year 2000, coinciding with the International Year of Mathematics, his book ‘Stories and Mathematics’. Then they came continuing with ‘Dreams in the Alisio’ and ‘In times of the seekers of Esperanza’, a compendium of 15 stories endowed with a great poetic charge that evoke stories of our ancestors.
