Yaiza programs a month of October loaded with events
The City Council of Yaiza has published in its October Municipal Agenda the cultural, sporting and festive activities of the month facilitating so that they can be programmed to encourage participation.
Sports are especially relevant in October with the Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote on Saturday 5 in Playa Blanca, the 20th edition of the International Cruise to La Bocaina Swim, which connects Lanzarote and the neighboring island of Fuerteventura, on October 19, the same day of the celebration, but already in the afternoon, of the popular Pardelator race of the coastal town of El Golfo. The Transajaches is another sporting mountain challenge that will take place on October 27 with departure from Puerto Calero, passing through the Los Ajaches Natural Monument and arriving in Femés.
In addition to sport, October brings an oral narration session for adults framed at the Words on the Fly Festival on October 24 with free admission to Bodegas Rubicón. Also within the world of letters, the presentation of the book ‘Los cuentos de los chinijos’ (October 18) has been scheduled written, illustrated and made up by schoolchildren in the municipality with the advice of children’s literature writer Mayte Pozo.
The town of El Golfo is partying and proposes its program of events between October 19 and 26. They are just a few strokes of the October municipal offer.
