Duo Cassadó will bring treasures of classical Spanish music to Cueva de los Verdes
The Cassadó Duo, a prestigious group formed by Marta Moll (piano) and Damián Martínez (cello), joins the program of the 36th Canary Islands International Music Festival (FIMC) with a tour that will bring them closer to Lanzarote.
With twenty years on the stage around the world, where they have captivated the public thanks to their originality and charisma, they arrive in the Canary Islands to offer true treasures of Spanish classical music: works by Gaspar Cassadó, Ernesto Halffter and Manuel de Falla; They will also cross the Atlantic to play Astor Piazzolla.
The public can listen to these prestigious musicians on Saturday 18 at the Cueva de los Verdes at 20:30 hortas. Tickets can be obtained through this link.
The concert is entitled ‘Ibero-American Echoes’ and includes ‘Rhapsody of the South’, by Cassadó, ‘Fantasía Española’, by Halffter, a selection of the Spanish Falla Songs (El cloth moruno, Asturiana, Jota, Nana, Canción y Polo ), as well as ‘El Gran Tango’, by Piazzolla. It is, therefore, a great opportunity to listen to the talent of this duo that is internationally acclaimed for its exquisite musicality and sensitivity, and that was even recommended by the great Alicia de Larrocha as the brightest representative duo of chamber music Spanish.
