World Egg Day

Tomorrow, Friday, October 11, World Egg Day is celebrated. The celebration has been promoted by the International Egg Commission since 1996 and is celebrated in 153 countries. This year, Lanzarote will have for the first time its own celebration that will take place in the Calle Real de Arrecife, in front of the Yellow House of the old Cabildo.

Throughout the day, from nine in the morning until three in the afternoon, Avícola Morales, the largest poultry farm in Lanzarote and the most important in the Canary Islands, will be on Calle Real with a Food Truck offering information to citizens about The properties of the egg.

To celebrate World Egg Day, Avícola Morales will be in front of the Yellow House of the old Town Hall offering information all morning. In addition, raffles will be held with different prizes: twelve months of consumption of eggs distributed in twelve prizes (one month per family) an encyclopedia of the egg with recipes of the grandmother and informative material.
