Huge success for Lanzarote Ensemble at Saint Paul’s Covent Garden in London
The recently created Lanzarote Ensemble orchestra managed to hang the “sold out” poster in the third concert of its career that also corresponded to its first performance abroad.
This took place last Thursday, March 14 in London, at Saint Paul’s Covent Garden in the British capital. The orchestra that is composed mainly of musicians living in Lanzarote and / or trained on the island, managed to exhaust the 250 entrances of the London venue.
As in the last recital of the month of February in Haría, Lanzarote Ensemble was directed by the British James Blair. His repertoire was composed by Serenade No. 10 or “Great Partita” by Mozart, and the “Variations on the Folias”, a work of the conductor of the orchestra, Ayoze Rodríguez, part of the “Folias de España” of the Renaissance period and baroque to get to remember the Canary Islands folios of today.
