‘Lanzarote Ensemble’ will seek to achieve the highest musical standards through stability
Lanzarote hosts a large number of professional musicians who have emerged thanks to the island’s education system. From the first centers such as the Circle of Friends of Music to the Lanzarote Island Music Conservatory opened in 1989 and through the many elementary schools of municipal education, it has opted for the development not only of musical motivation in the population but also to create an important quarry, which inexorably culminates with the creation of professionals of the highest level.
To this situation is added the complete absence of an institutional professional training in the academic field,
that is, a training that has a financial and professional security that makes projects can be durable, stable and serious
The project is based on the creation of a heterogeneous training where not only the Lanzarote professionals are reflected, but also the social group from which these professionals have emerged. Likewise and in this way you can see the musical quarry projected, whether they belong to music schools or the Insular Conservatory of Lanzarote need to have a perspective and aspiration to which to go.
Leivtmotiv of Lanzarote Ensemble
‘Lanzarote Ensemble’ proposes to be a flexible formation, that attends to the different situations, scenarios and repertoires. The newly created works will be fundamental in this project, with which the original composition will be one of the usual tools that will be included in your proposal. In short, aspires to be an innovative, malleable, functional and above all professional ensemble.
In this context, the project aims to create a stable concert schedule and sufficiently spaced in time to ensure the assumption of the same by the public. This stability is one of the strongest purposes given that all professional training, to meet the level of demand of the highest standards, needs continuity, regular habit of rehearsals and of course, a fixed schedule of concerts.
