Last preparations for the Ironman 70.3 that will take place in October in Playa Blanca
Last week a new preparatory meeting was held for the Ironman 70.3 celebration on October 5 with an epicenter in the tourist town of Playa Blanca. The organization already confirms the registration of 800 triathletes, although the deadline to participate in the test will remain open on the competition website until the maximum quota of 1,000 athletes is completed.
In this meeting, logistic and safety aspects inherent to the competition that provide for a 1.9 kilometer swimming segment in Playa Dorada, 90.1 kilometers of cycling race along a demanding route that runs through emblematic points of Lanzarote such as El Golfo, Timanfaya, La Geria and Femés with return to Playa Blanca and then finish with a half marathon through a central circuit also in Playa Blanca.
The Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote offers 40 qualifying places for the Iroman 70.3 World Championship that will host the New Zealand city of Taupo on November 28 and 29, 2020. In line with the importance of the event and its demands, the Institution chaired by Óscar Noda and Club La Santa have been working in the organization of the Ironman Lanzarte 70.3 for more than a year.
