‘Out of the closet’, starring Verónica Forqué, is shot in Lanzarote
Last month began filming in Lanzarote the shooting of ‘Salir del Ropero’, opera prima by Ángeles Reiné. It is a family comedy about as affirmed by the producer, “the right of everyone to do what they want,” which will reach the screens in the coming months in the hands of Filmax.
The film will be produced by the winner of 4 Goyas, Andrés Santana, and is written and directed by Ángeles Reiné. ‘Exit the wardrobe’ revolves around the relationships between the complex individuals that form the same family, which over the years, have moved away from each other, and even from themselves. The unusual news of the grandmother’s wedding with another woman will make them vulnerable by making them start, finally, to open up and discover what they actually have inside.
Verónica Forqué and Rosa María Sardá star in this love story. Along with them, Ingrid García Jonsson, David Verdaguer, Candela Peña, Mónica López, Álex O’Dogherty, Pol Monen, Malcom T. Sitté, María Caballero, Leander Vyvey, Liz Lobato and Toni Madigan complete an international and multicultural cast.
“The desire to talk about tolerance, the search for happiness and the strength of love are the main reasons that move me to tell this story.” – says the director.
With a team of first-class professionals such as the director of photography José Luis Alcaine, the art director Natalia Llopis or the costume designer Ana López Cobos, the film will be shot for 6 weeks in various locations on the island of Lanzarote and the Portuguese city of Port.
