Paquito D’Rivera will join the Gran Canaria Big Band in their Christmas concert

The Gran Canaria Big Band celebrates the tenth anniversary of its traditional Christmas concert at the Cuyás Theater. It was in 2009 when these concerts began that the Gran Canaria band year after year has become an unmissable event for the Canarian public.

Important national and international artists have accompanied in these concerts the band that, to celebrate this anniversary next to the Cuyás Theater, wanted to be surrounded by one of the great musicians of the history of modern music, Paquito D’Rivera.

This distinguished musician, saxophonist and clarinetist will be in charge of accompanying the Gran Canaria Big Band in these “10 years in the Cuyás”. He will also be as guest musician Pepe Rivero, a Cuban pianist who has worked very closely with Paquito in recent years. This Latin music party will be the pretext for the concert to revolve around the figure and music of the great Paquito D’Rivera.
