Playa Blanca seeks poster announcing Carnival 2019
The Municipality of Yaiza has opened the period for the presentation of proposals to illustrate the Carnival of Playa Blanca 2019. The deadline will be open until January 22.
The poster contest of the southern carnival encourages the participation of graphic artists living inside and outside the island with an incentive of 1,000 euros of prize to the work selected by the jury. The full bases of the call are published on the virtual bulletin board of the municipal website www.yaiza.es
Designers over 16 years old will be able to compete presenting a single original work that will have as an allegorical theme CUBAN CARNIVAL conditional on it not being awarded in any other contest or publicly exhibited. The technique of the presented poster will be of free choice as long as it does not offer difficulties for its printing and reproduction in a format no higher than 65 cm x 48 cm.
The City Council reminds that the reception of the works will be made until January 22, 2019 (deadline), Monday through Friday, office hours from 9.00 to 14.00 in the Department of Celebrations of the City of Yaiza located in the building attached to the soccer field. The Playa Blanca Carnival is scheduled for the last weekend of March, from Friday 29 to Sunday 31.
