The IX Saborea Lanzarote Enogastronomic Festival closed its ninth edition this Sunday at La Villa de Teguise with a resounding success. Thousands of people spent the weekend during the event, tasting the different tapas made by the more than 100 exhibitors.

The Saborea Lanzarote Classroom was the epicenter of the best showcookings, with the help of great restaurants and chefs on the Island, who focused on the magnificent local product. For its part, the Saborea Spain and the Canary Islands Space hosted, in the same tent, the tastings of different restaurants in Galicia and Denia, as well as all the islands of the Archipelago.

The Classroom of Taste hosted master classes from some of the most recognized chefs in Spain and Portugal. Attendees came out with a great taste after listening to Torres Brothers, Andoni Luis Adúriz, Oriol Castro, Henrique Sá Pessoa, Juanlu Fernández, Begoña Rodríguez, Lucía Freitas, Gonzalo Calzadilla, Jonay Hernández and Iván Domínguez.

The Mid-Atlantic Cuisine, apart from these speakers, was represented in its own space, where you could taste the delicious creations of chefs from both the guest city, Lisbon, and Lanzarote itself.

In the Canarian Product House, attendees were able to learn a little more about the origin and delicious nuances of two iconic products of the Archipelago: cheese and wine. For this, they had the presence of cheesemakers and representatives of the wineries of the D.O. Wines of Lanzarote. The latter were also present in the Wine Classroom, where workshop participants enjoyed exquisite pairings with various references from the Island.

For its part, the Aula del Mar hosted another year a delicious selection of fish and shellfish from the Island by the hand of Pescatrón, sponsor of this space. The most curious also came on Saturday to see the show that the Torres Brothers made with the snoring of tuna. On Sunday, this fish was auctioned, which was beneficial thanks to Club Rotary Costa Teguise, and allocated the benefits to the construction of a children’s playground at the Hospital de Lanzarote.

Finally, Gastromarket was the epicenter of the Enogastronomic Festival activity. Thousands of people tasted each and every one of the proposals of the more than 100 exhibitors, who put the local product in value for locals and visitors. The event concluded in the Plaza de los Leones of La Villa de Teguise with the concert of Los 600 last Sunday.
