The 18th Music Week of the Insular Center of Musical Teachings begin this monday
The Centro Insular de Enseñanzas Musicales (CIEM) is already preparing the XVIII Music Week with an extensive program of concerts that will take place between April 29 and May 3.
During those days the students of the center as well as the teachers will offer different musical performances in different scenarios such as the Theater ‘El Salinero’, the José Ramírez Cerdá Park, the Charco de San Ginés or the House of Culture ‘Agustín de la Hoz ‘in Arrecife.
The XVIII Music Week will start its program on Monday, April 29 at 5:00 pm with the Children’s Concert accompanied by the Guitar Orchestra at the Theater ‘El Salinero’. Later, at 7:00 pm, José Ramírez Cerdá Park will host the String Concert.
On Tuesday, April 30, the Final of the Interpretation Contest will take place at 5:00 pm in the CIEM’s Hall of Acts, where the most advanced students will have the opportunity to interpret several selected pieces. During that same day at 7:00 pm the Theater ‘El Salinero’ will host the performance ‘The stories of Uncle Ben’ by the students of the Percussion Classroom.
On Thursday, May 2, at 5:00 pm, at the Casa de la Cultura ‘Agustín de la Hoz’ in Arrecife will perform the Children’s Coro and Chorus of the CIEM, as well as the Guitar Ensemble and at 6.30 pm at the Charco de San Ginés, will offer their performance the Band of Beginners, the Band of CIEM and the students of the Classroom of Modern Music of Beginners.
The musical program will return to the Theater ‘El Salinero’ next Friday, May 3 at 18.30 with the celebration of the Educational Concert ‘The symphony of toys’ by the students of the CEIP Capellanía del Yágabo accompanied by the String Orchestra of the ICES.
Finally, the Classroom of Modern Music will offer a repertoire with current music, with pieces of jazz, rock and other styles, on Friday, May 10 at 8:00 pm, at the Charco de San Ginés.
Admission to attend these concerts is free, although for those who are held at the Theater ‘El Salinero’, invitations can be collected at the box office, one hour before the performance.
