The international festival ‘Guitars in Haría’ returns at the end of January
On the morning of yesterday the program of the II International Festival ‘Guitarras en Haría’ was presented, which will take place from January 24 to 27 in the El Aljibe hall, bringing to the northern municipality Spanish Renaissance music, Baroque music and popular Argentine music or Andean, in addition to exhibitions of Lutería and visual arts.
Luis Soria is the initiator of this festival. Professor at the National University of La Rioja, he has also created the ‘Andes Guitar Festival’ in South America, as well as the ‘Guitare en Cevennes’ festival in France.
Alongside him, interpreters from countries such as Italy, Argentina, Spain, Chile, France and the USA will perform, highlighting the incorporation of Lanzarote musicians José Pérez and Gustavo Navarro. The entrance will be free and free, previously withdrawing the invitations in the northern Consistory.
The program of the event will begin on Saturday, January 19, at 12:00 hours, with the inauguration of the pictorial exhibition of Alejandro Sergio Sincich and the concert of theorbo Gustavo Navarro.
Already on Thursday 24 strong>, at 20:00 hours, the official opening of the festival and vernisage will take place, with a guitar concert by Pierre Willimann, Carlos Aravena and Luis Soria, and the presentation of the exhibition of figurative art by Alejandro Sergio Sincich.
On Friday 25, at 7:00 p.m., there will be an exposition and talk of Lutería by Nicolás Rodríguez on the detachable guitar, continuing at 8:00 p.m. with the guitar concert of Santiago Canals, Trío Flamenco and Cinzia Milani.
The day of Saturday 26 will start, at 12:00 hours, with the guitar concert of José Pérez González, Poli Gomitolo and Cinzia Milani, to continue, at 20:00, with the performance of Santiago Canals, Luis Soria, Flamenco Trio, Poli Gomitolo and Gustavo Navarro.
The II International Festival ‘Guitarras en Haría’ will put the finishing touch with a closing concert at the Cueva de los verdes Auditorium, which will include Carlos Aravena, Pierre Willimann, Cinzia Milani, Santiago Canals, Poli Gomitotlo, Flamenco Trio, José Pérez González and Luis Soria.
