The ‘VII Fair of Cheese and Goat’ starts this Saturday
The ‘VII Cheese and Goat Fair Savor Lanzarote’ will open its doors this Saturday at 18:00 in Playa Blanca. The thousands of visitors who are expected to attend the event during the weekend will be able to enjoy the enogastronomic delights that will be offered by the thirty stands that will be installed in the nerve center of Playa Blanca and where the cheese and goat will have a special role; as well as the concerts that Big Bopper will offer throughout the Fair that will remain open to the public on Saturday until 11 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
This year also has several new features. One of them is the Product Classroom where pairings and tastings of different cheeses with other Lanzarote products such as beers, wines, vermouths or marmalades will be made; a gastro-toy library, so that the little ones can have fun while they learn to make small cheeses and the recreation of a traditional store in Lanzarote where visitors can buy local products.
And also as in previous editions, and as has been happening in all those fairs and activities organized by Saborea Lanzarote, there will be a place for solidarity. In this sense, the NGO Creciendo Yaiza will manage the stands selling water and soft drinks, and will allocate the funds it collects to programs of social inclusion and therapeutic support for children and young people with functional diversity on the island.
The ‘VII Cheese and Goat Fair Savor Lanzarote’ will feature six cheese exhibitors -Filo del Cuchillo, El Faro, Flor de Luz, Finca de Uga, Montaña de Haría and Rubicón-, six wineries -El Grifo, La Geria, Vega of Yuco, Rubicón, Guiguan and Stratvs-, as well as restaurants El Recoveco, Daniele Pizza al Taglio, Nino’s Tavern, La Galería, Coentro, Lava Beach / Aroma, Caprica Cheese Bar, Gourmet Catering Ampate, La Caleta, Princesa Yaiza and Tiki Bar.
