At Cooltura Lanzarote we use cookies and similar technologies to improve your browsing experience, analyse site usage and personalise content. This policy explains what cookies we use, what they are for and how you can manage them.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, mobile or tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as language or visual theme) over a period of time, so you don't have to reconfigure them every time you visit.
2. Types of cookies we use
2.1. Essential cookies
These are strictly necessary for the website to function. They do not require consent and are installed automatically when you access the site.
2.2. Preference cookies
These allow us to remember your preferences (such as light or dark theme choice) to offer you a personalised experience.
2.3. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to get anonymous audience statistics: how many people visit us, which pages and stories are read most, what kind of device they use and which country they come from. We use this to decide what to publish; we do not use it to identify you or for advertising.
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), together with its parent company Google LLC (USA).
- Cookies:
_gaand_ga_<ID>(in our case_ga_TRNNDVJHJW). They tell visits apart and keep the session state. They last about 2 years. - Only with your consent: until you click “Accept” in the cookie notice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no data is sent to Google. If you click “Reject”, it is never loaded.
- Settings: Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and the advertising permissions (
ad_storage,ad_user_data,ad_personalization) always stay denied. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. - International transfer: Google LLC may process data in the USA. It is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as an adequate safeguard.
- More information: Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics, an aggregate visit count that does not place any cookies on your device.
3. Cookie table
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|---|
theme | Preference | Remember theme choice (light/dark) | 1 year | First-party |
lang | Preference | Remember selected language | 1 year | First-party |
__stripe_mid | Essential | Fraud prevention for payments (if enabled) | 1 year | Third-party (Stripe) |
_ga | Analytics (consent only) | Tell visits apart anonymously for audience statistics | 2 years | Third-party (Google) |
_ga_TRNNDVJHJW | Analytics (consent only) | Keep the Google Analytics 4 session state | 2 years | Third-party (Google) |
To remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, we store your choice in your browser's local storage (cooltura-consentimiento, first-party and technical) for 12 months. After that we will ask you again.
This table will be updated if new services requiring additional cookies are added.
4. Third-party cookies
The only third-party analytics cookies are the Google Analytics 4 cookies described in section 2.3, and they are only set if you accept them. We do not use advertising cookies.
5. How to manage cookies
You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page: it reopens the notice so you can accept or reject. If you reject after having accepted, Google Analytics stops working and we delete its _ga cookies.
You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies installed on your device. Here's how to do it in the most common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and stored data.
Please note that disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the website.
6. Consent
Essential and preference cookies do not require consent. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are only switched on if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice shown on your first visit; “Reject” sits right next to it, at the same size. We keep your choice for 12 months. You can withdraw your consent at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before (art. 22.2 LSSI and art. 7.3 GDPR).
7. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify this cookie policy. Any changes will be published on this page with the corresponding update date.
