At Cooltura Lanzarote we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data transparently and securely, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection (LOPDGDD).

2. Personal data we collect

We collect the following personal data voluntarily through the forms on our website:

  • Contact form: Name, email address, subject and message content.
  • Newsletter: Name and email address.
  • Comments: Name and email (if enabled).

The only data we collect automatically is what our Cookie Policy describes: technical cookies and, only if you accept them, Google Analytics 4 analytics cookies (anonymous audience statistics).

3. Purpose of processing

Your personal data is used for the following purposes:

  • Managing and responding to enquiries received through the contact form.
  • Sending the weekly newsletter with Lanzarote's cultural agenda.
  • Managing event participation when necessary.

4. Legal basis for processing

Processing of your data is based on:

  • Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR): By submitting the contact form or subscribing to the newsletter, you consent to the processing of your data for the stated purposes. Analytics cookies are also based on your consent (art. 22.2 LSSI), which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR): For sending commercial communications related to contracted services, where applicable.

5. Data retention

Personal data is retained for:

  • Contact data: For the time necessary to resolve the enquiry and up to a maximum of 12 months from receipt.
  • Newsletter: For as long as your subscription is active. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email or by writing to info@coolturalanzarote.com.

6. Data recipients

We do not transfer or disclose your personal data to third parties, except where legally required. We use the following third-party services for website operations:

  • Resend (Resend, Inc.): Delivery of contact form messages to our inbox, management of the newsletter list and newsletter delivery. Data is processed in the USA under standard contractual clauses.
  • Formspree: Fallback contact form submission service, only if the above is unavailable. Data is processed on Formspree servers (USA), under standard contractual clauses.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC): Anonymous audience statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies. Details in the Cookie Policy.

7. International transfers

Some of the services listed above may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, we ensure that adequate safeguards exist, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, to protect your data. For Google LLC, the transfer to the USA is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR and LOPDGDD, you have the right to:

  • Access: Confirm whether we are processing your data and access it.
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: Request the deletion of your personal data.
  • Restriction: Request the restriction of processing of your data.
  • Objection: Object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability: Request the transfer of your data to another controller.

To exercise these rights, write to info@coolturalanzarote.com, attaching a copy of your ID or other identification document.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

9. Security

We adopt the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or destruction.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy to adapt it to legislative or jurisprudential developments, as well as industry practices. The updated version will be published on this page with the date of the last update.
