Ángela González brings her rising voice to El Almacén

Young Canarian singer Ángela González lands at CIC El Almacén with a proposal that blends singer-songwriter pop, island roots and contemporary sounds. Her voice, which has been making waves across the islands' music scene, arrives on the Arrecife stage with an original repertoire that speaks of the sea, distance and belonging.

The event, part of the Sonidos Líquidos and Cabildo Culture programme, offers a chance to discover in an intimate format an artist who prizes sincerity over artifice. Ángela González's songs move between singer-songwriter territory and Canarian tradition, with arrangements that incorporate electronic textures without losing the warmth of the acoustic. The artist from Málaga will present her new compositions in the Sala Buñuel on Friday 5 June, in an intimate evening that forms part of the festival's pre-events.

El Almacén continues to champion emerging voices from the archipelago, and this promises to be one of those nights where the audience discovers an artist before everyone else starts talking about them.
