The courtyard of the Centro Cívico in Arrecife will host the live presentation of New Land, the second album by guitarist Lucas de Mulder, this Thursday 9 July at 20:00. The concert, organised by Cultura Arrecife, is free to attend until the venue reaches capacity.
Raised in Lanzarote since the age of two and trained at the Conservatorio Insular de Música, De Mulder will deliver a show fusing genres such as soul, funk, jazz, pop and ambient, building the minimalist, organic sound that has defined his artistic evolution in recent years.
After releasing Feel The Spirit in 2023, produced in Denver by Eddie Roberts for the Color Red label, the musician established himself as one of the emerging names in instrumental jazz and funk. He currently has more than 4.5 million plays on Spotify and over 50,000 monthly listeners on the platform.
On New Land, recorded alongside bassist Diego Portugal and drummer Joe Sturges, he broadens his musical universe by drawing in influences from pop, folk and ambient, without abandoning the funk, soul and jazz roots that characterise his style. The result is a repertoire conceived as a warm, dynamic sonic journey full of personality.
The concert offers a chance to discover this new record live, at an event aimed especially at fans of contemporary instrumental music and jazz with a distinctive authorial voice.
