The Lanzarote Wine Run will once again turn Uga and La Geria into the epicentre of sport, wine and music this weekend. Beyond the races and family activities, the event includes an extensive music programme that will accompany runners, visitors and the general public over two days, turning the occasion into a genuine open-air party in one of the island's most singular landscapes.
The music will get under way on Saturday 13 June with performances by Pal Porrón, Sin Cobertura and a Queen tribute act to round off the day before the races. On Sunday, coinciding with the various Wine Run categories and the Wine Festival, the stage will welcome El Golpito, DeLorean and Parchita Colorá, completing a programme that mixes pop, covers, traditional Canarian music and festive rhythms.
The concerts are part of a programme designed to make the experience go far beyond the sporting competition. The Wine Run has established itself as one of the major fixtures on the Lanzarote calendar thanks to that blend of landscape, food, wine, sport and music that every year draws thousands of people to La Geria.
