These are the open-air dances and festivals to enjoy in Lanzarote this weekend (24-26 July)

The last weekend of July arrives packed with music and a festive atmosphere across different parts of Lanzarote. Arrieta and Tahiche are celebrating some of the most eagerly awaited events of their patron saint festivals these days, with open-air dances, musical parades and performances for all audiences.

Orchestras, parrandas and local groups will once again bring rhythm to Friday and Saturday nights, in a weekend that will also include sporting, children’s and community activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Arrieta

The Arrieta festivals will experience two of their most intense days this weekend. On Friday 24 July at 10:00 pm, a great popular open-air dance will take place, with music by Swing del Norte, Tremendo Son, Javi Fajardo and Vocal Force.

On Saturday 25 July the programme will begin at 10:00 am with a surfing championship on the beach. At 11:00 am there will be a colour party with a DJ and inflatables, while at 8:30 pm the traditional musical parade will kick off with Swing del Norte, Vocal Force and Tremendo Son.

Tahiche

The Tahiche festivals will also offer an intense musical programme. On Friday 24 July at 9:00 pm, Novel Band V.3 will perform, before the Gran Asalto Musical begins at 10:30 pm with the Parranda Ahí va la cosa and Sintonía Show.

The music will continue on Saturday 25 July from 10:30 pm, with a great popular open-air dance that will include a best hat competition.
