The Fiestas de Los Remedios return to Yaiza with an extensive programme running from 24 August to 9 September, combining music, verbenas, a romería, children's activities, food, sport, comedy and a range of events for all ages.
Highlights include the Festival Rubicón, the romería followed by the Noche de Parrandas, the El Potala verbena and the one on Saturday 5, the Efecto Pasillo concert on the main day of the fiestas, and performances by Alexis Carballo and Darío López. This is the full programme:
Monday 24 August
8:00 pm Draw and start of the Chinchón card tournament at the ventorrillos (fiesta food and drink stalls).

8:00 pm Draw and start of the Envite pairs (2 vs 2) tournament at the ventorrillos.

7:30 pm Bingo with surprises in the plaza de Los Remedios.

6:00 pm Children's football for ages 7 to 13, on the pitch next to the gym.

8:00 pm Opening speech (pregón) by the Rancho de Pascua de Yaiza in the plaza de Los Remedios.
9:00 pm Festival Rubicón in the plaza de los Remedios. Verbena with Vocal Force, DJ Pereda and Swing del Norte.
Saturday 29 August
11:00 am Children's party with bouncy castles and a water party in the plaza de Los Remedios.
6:00 pm Traditional romería setting off from the municipal football ground.
6:30 pm Rosary.
7:00 pm Mass.
This will be followed by the offering to the Virgin, then the election of the adult and children's Maga and Mago, and a “Noche de parrandas” with the groups Malpeis, Pal’Porrón, La Aldaba and Son del Norte.
Sunday 30 August

12:30 pm Autoslocos.
1:00 pm Performance by the group Defecto Venturi in the Plaza de Los Remedios.
5:30 pm Children's keyring workshop at the Casa de la cultura.
9:00 pm Lip-sync show by the little ones of Uga.

5:30 pm Family Masterchef workshop at the Casa de la Cultura.
6:00 pm Zumba masterclass in the Plaza de Los Remedios.
9:00 pm Dance school showcase with the Escuela de Danza Beatrice Senent, Extreme Up, the Arabic dance school and MT Dance.

NOTE: Desserts must be handed in half an hour beforehand.
9:00 pm Performance by the Yaiza theatre group of ASC Almurcia with the play “Y todo por un pavo”, directed by Magdalena Cáceres, at the Casa de la Cultura.
This will be followed by a performance at the ventorrillos by the parranda Son de Gofio.
Wednesday 2 September
5:30 pm Children's drawing competition in the plaza de Los Remedios.
