From 25 to 27 June, Arrecife is set to become a meeting point for some of the best-known faces on Spanish television with the third edition of Meetings FesTVal Lanzarote. The audiovisual sessions, organised by FesTVal and SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, will bring together professionals from media, acting, sport, gastronomy and entertainment at various venues across the capital, in a programme open to the public.
Among the headline names of this edition are Alberto Chicote, Almudena Cid, Jorge Fernández, Xavier Deltell, Gorka Aguinagalde, Mariola Cubells, María Guerra, José Manuel Lorenzo and Belinda Washington, who will take part in meet-ups, panel discussions, screenings and live shows. The programme will look at questions such as the evolution of television game shows, the place of minority sports on the small screen, Spanish drama and new audiovisual formats.
The event will open on 25 June at Centro Cultural El Almacén with the participation of Alejandro Ibáñez, son of Chicho Ibáñez Serrador and currently head of Prointel. The sessions will also make room for television gastronomy, comedy and audiovisual production, as well as a special screening of the first episode of the final season of El Inmortal, attended by its executive producer, José Manuel Lorenzo.
The island will also take centre stage within the programme thanks to the presentation of new episodes of De puerto en puerto: Islas Canarias-Especial Lanzarote, the Canal Cocina production that travels around different corners of the island, showcasing its landscape, its food and its cultural identity.
The programme is rounded off with events such as the show Señoras y señoras, starring journalists Mariola Cubells and María Guerra, stand-up sets by Xavier Deltell and Gorka Aguinagalde, and the closing gala hosted by Jota Abril, featuring performances by Belinda Washington and Prímital Brothers, among other artists.
