Arrecife heads into June with a cultural programme that brings together concerts, exhibitions, theatre, cinema, children's activities and contemporary creation. The agenda, driven by Cultura Arrecife, will take place across multiple venues in the capital, with free admission to most events and something for every age group.
Highlights this month include the exhibition La profundidad del silencio by Ildefonso Aguilar, open until 1 August at the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz, the Chamber Music Concerts series, performances by Canarias Gospel Choir, Ancor Miranda Quartet and Calicanto, plus the film screenings Tierra de hielo and Paisajes Audibles at the Sala Buñuel in El Almacén.
The programme also features family-friendly events such as the children's workshop Confianza/Ilusión. Cuento Contigo, the puppet show Único, the Move Canarias 2026 Movement Arts Festival and the new edition of Rockova Arrecife, rounding out a diverse agenda that blends music, visual arts, heritage and participatory activities.
Events are spread across venues including the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz, the Centro Sociocultural San Francisco Javier, the Centro Cívico de Arrecife and the Recova Municipal. The month kicks off on 5 June with the Guillén & Triviño Duo as part of the Chamber Music series, and on Saturday 6 the traditional salt carpet-making for Corpus Christi fills the streets around the church of San Ginés.
Concerts continue on Thursday 11 with Trío de Raíz and on Thursday 18 with the Canarias Gospel Choir, both at the Casa de la Cultura. Friday 19 offers a double bill: the children's workshop in the afternoon and Ancor Miranda Quartet in the Centro Cívico courtyard at night. Saturday 20 brings the Move Canarias 2026 Festival to the Centro Sociocultural Argana Baja and Calicanto to the Casa de la Cultura.
The film screenings Tierra de hielo and Paisajes Audibles can be seen on 20 and 30 June at the Sala Buñuel in El Almacén. On Friday 26, the Spoken Concerts return to the Casa de la Cultura, and Saturday 27 closes the month with two events: Rockova Arrecife 2026 at the Recova Municipal and the puppet theatre Único at the Casa de la Cultura.
Two exhibitions complement the cultural offering: La profundidad del silencio by Ildefonso Aguilar, with guided tours scheduled for 2 and 20 June, and Sonidos Vagabundos. Raíces Atlánticas, open until 13 June.
