The Playa de Las Cucharas amphitheatre will host a new edition of Bio Ritmos on 12 June from 21:00, the world music festival organised by the Casa-Museo del Timple. Now established as one of the standout musical fixtures in Teguise's cultural calendar, the event will once again bring together on a single stage acts that explore the connections between different traditions and territories through music.
Line-up
This year's programme features:
- Entre Ilhas
- Mosquera Celtic Band
- Compañía Pieles
- Too Brass Band
From the sounds of Macaronesia to the Celtic influences of Galicia, by way of the stage and music projects born in Tenerife and Lanzarote, the festival will offer a journey through different ways of understanding roots music, cultural crossover and contemporary creation.
The Casa-Museo del Timple
Bio Ritmos is part of the yearly programme of the Casa-Museo del Timple, a venue devoted to spreading, preserving and promoting Canarian musical heritage (the timple is a small five-string Canarian guitar). Over the years, the festival has become a meeting point for artists and audiences alike, encouraging cultural exchange and bringing the public music that crosses borders.
