On Friday 21 August, at 8:00 pm, the Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz will host Identidad e Infancia, a stage piece combining performance, installation and collective creation to present the outcome of two artistic processes developed by Prototekné over the past three months.
The performance is the culmination of two laboratories: Identidades: La máscara, aimed at women and focused on exploring identity, the body and difference through mask-making and physical theatre, and Mecánica del ensamblaje: el Yo Niño, designed for people over 55 and conceived as a journey through childhood and memory using object theatre. Both projects have drawn on the personal experiences of their participants as material for experimentation and artistic creation.
Coordinated by cultural managers Marta Neme and Emma LLG, the piece will bring the results of both processes together on stage. Among its central elements are the so-called “art mannequins” (“maniquíes-arte”), pieces created by the participants from photographs, found objects and personal materials to represent memories and episodes from their own life stories. The project is part of Cultura Arrecife's 2025 call for cultural grants.
