More than 200 artists will turn the island into a meeting point of cultures with the ‘El Mundo en Lanzarote’ festival

More than 200 artists will take part in the third edition of the International Performing Arts Festival El Mundo en Lanzarote, which from 11 to 16 August will once again turn the island into a meeting place for cultures through music, dance and the performing arts. The programme will take place at various venues in Arrecife and Teguise, with free admission for the public.

The festival will feature the international companies Song and Dance Ensemble Raciborzanie (Poland), Compañía Raíces del Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico) and Paraguay Rekove (Paraguay), sharing the bill with leading Lanzarote groups such as the Parranda Marinera de Buches and the Agrupación Cultural Musical Güerma, as well as local companies including Soy Colombia by Acciones Unidas, Misterios de China, Raqsat Hayati, Samira Rif, Delirio Habanero, D&M Teatro and Artem-Mago, among others.

Once again the festival will offer residents and visitors a broad journey through different cultural expressions from around the world, encouraging exchange between peoples and coexistence through shows, street parades, workshops and performances held in public spaces in both municipalities.
