On 11 July at 19:00, the Teatro Municipal de Tías will host a gala devoted to some of the great works of opera and zarzuela (Spanish lyric operetta) as part of the Festival de Ópera Lanzarote 2026 programme. The evening will bring together on stage the Lanzarote tenor Pancho Corujo, soprano Ruth Terán and pianist Juan Francisco Parra in a recital running through some of the most emblematic pages of the lyric repertoire.
The programme offers an intimate, close-up format in which the voice is the undisputed star. Pancho Corujo, one of the best-known figures in Canarian lyric singing, will share the stage with Ruth Terán, a regular in operatic productions and recitals in concert halls across Spain and abroad, accompanied on piano by Juan Francisco Parra.
The gala forms part of the Festival de Ópera Lanzarote programme, an initiative that continues to bring classical and lyric music to audiences on the island through concerts, recitals and shows featuring highly regarded performers. Tickets are already on sale through Ecoentradas.
