The Papagayo campsite will open its gates again for the summer season from 3 July to 4 October, extending its usual opening period. Bookings can be made from Monday 29 June through the official website, allowing residents and visitors to plan ahead for one of the most sought-after outdoor experiences on the island.
The main change this year will be the reorganisation of the site to adapt to the changing profile of campers. The number of pitches for tents has been reduced in order to increase the space set aside for caravans, motorhomes and campervans, a type of stay that has grown considerably in recent years. In total, the camping area will have some 260 pitches equipped with the services needed for a stay.
Set in the natural surroundings of Los Ajaches, the Papagayo campsite has established itself as one of the most popular spots of the Lanzarote summer thanks to its privileged location next to some of the island's best-known beaches. Prices will remain unchanged from previous seasons in order to keep the facilities accessible.
Bookings can be made from 29 June at acampadapapagayo.com, and visitors must respect the rules of conduct and the measures aimed at preserving this natural setting, particularly regarding responsible water use and care for the environment.
