The Ayuntamiento de San Bartolomé, through its Youth Department, has launched the XVIII Certamen Crea Joven 2026, which this year is dedicated to the video or reel category on any theme, with the aim of continuing to foster creativity, talent and artistic expression among young people.
The initiative is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 35, born or resident in any of the Canary Islands, and the deadline for submitting entries remains open until 30 September 2026.
As the image for this edition, the competition unveils a poster designed by the Koh Fi studio, a contemporary graphic proposal reflecting the creative, dynamic and innovative character of the contest and connecting with the new visual and audiovisual languages of young people.
Details
Entrants must submit an original audiovisual work with a maximum length of 60 seconds, in vertical format and with subtitles. Any artistic or audiovisual language may be used, from music or poetry to video editing or the performing arts, always from a creative and original standpoint. The theme is entirely free and the jury will pay particular attention to creativity, expressive power and the quality of the audiovisual language.
The competition offers three prizes of 800, 500 and 300 euros respectively, and the winning works may be used by the Ayuntamiento for cultural dissemination and to promote the competition, always crediting their creators.
