Teguise opens registration for its 2026/2027 Plan Cultural courses

On 7 September, from 9:00 am, the Plan Cultural de Teguise opens registration for its new edition, which will once again bring nine months of workshops and training activities to different villages in the municipality. The courses combine artistic disciplines with crafts and skills linked to the cultural heritage of Lanzarote and the Canary Islands.

The programme includes courses in calado (drawn-thread work), ceramics, roseta (Canarian needle lace), dance, sewing, dressmaking, folklore, empleita (palm-leaf weaving), painting, ballet, theatre, crafts, sign language and costume-making. The Plan Cultural begins on 5 October 2026 and runs until 25 June 2027.

Registration until 21 September

Registration is open from 9:00 am on 7 September until 00:00 on 21 September. Places will be allocated strictly in the order in which applications are processed, and each person can sign up for a minimum of one course and a maximum of three.

Registration is free and can be completed on the Ayuntamiento de Teguise website or in person at the Casa de la Cultura de Teguise. Once the application period closes, the final lists for each course will be published. For more information, a phone line has been set up on 673 480 222.
