On 27 June, San Bartolomé will once again become a meeting point for fans of rock and alternative pop with a new edition of SBSFEST (San Bartolomé Sonoro Festival), an event whose main draw will be a performance by veteran US band Cracker, joined by VivalePop and Lanzarote's own Caleidoscopio.
The festival will bring together on one stage artists of different origins and backgrounds, combining international, regional and local acts in a night devoted to live music. Cracker, led by David Lowery and Johnny Hickman, have been one of the best-known names in North American alternative rock since the 1990s, with songs such as Low, Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now) and Euro-Trash Girl that have become classics of the genre.
Also on the bill are VivalePop, from Tenerife, one of the most established bands on the Canarian indie pop scene, and Caleidoscopio, a Lanzarote group who round off a line-up designed to offer a wide variety of sounds and styles. Doors are due to open at 20:00 and tickets are already on sale in advance.
