literatura, music and audiovisual creation lead the Cabildo's June agenda

The Cabildo de Lanzarote, through its Culture Department, presents the June cultural programme, with the Verbena literary gathering, the Sonidos Líquidos music event and the Meetings FesTVal Lanzarote as key highlights. The agenda is completed with stage proposals, exhibitions, screenings and activities that showcase the diversity of the island's cultural offering.

Verbena — From 9 to 13 June, El Almacén hosts a new edition of Verbena, Lanzarote's literary gathering dedicated to new voices and new paths in contemporary creation. Over five days, writers, artists and readers share a programme exploring literature from an open and cross-disciplinary perspective, in dialogue with other art forms.

The programme combines conversations, workshops, artistic installations and participatory activities with authors including Juan Evaristo Valls Boix, Tatiana Donoso, Laura López Balza, Kenya Stéphanie, Adriana Murad and Juli Mesa. A space to reflect on present-day narratives and explore the many forms literature takes today.

Music — June's musical programme blends tradition, new talent and unique proposals tied to the island's cultural landscape. On 4 June, El Almacén hosts a special experience where composer and producer Jon Aguirrezabalaga (Zabala) performs a live reinterpretation of the Taxi Driver soundtrack alongside a screening of the Martin Scorsese film. The following day, the same venue welcomes Ángela González, one of the most outstanding emerging voices in national indie pop.
