The 2026 World Cup reaches its grand finale and Lanzarote will once again take to the streets for a night that promises high emotion. Spain will be looking to be crowned world champions against Argentina this Sunday 19 July, in a final that can be followed at various points across the island thanks to big screens set up outdoors, where residents, visitors and fans will share the atmosphere of one of the most eagerly awaited sporting events of the year.
After the success of the semi-final screening against France, several municipalities have decided to repeat the experience so that the final can be enjoyed collectively. Beaches, squares and open spaces will become makeshift stands where thousands of people will cheer on La Roja from 8:00 pm, in a summer atmosphere combining football, togetherness and excitement.
Haría - Playa de La Garita
The esplanade at Playa de La Garita will have a 5x3-metre LED screen, installed by Haría Town Council so that residents and visitors can follow the final in an open space by the sea. Entry will be free until capacity is reached, with the aim of turning the beach into a major meeting point to enjoy the match.
Arrecife - Parque Temático
The area around the Parque Temático will once again host the screening after the success recorded during the semi-final between Spain and France, when thousands of people watched the match in a festive atmosphere. Arrecife Town Council now expects a turnout that could exceed 50,000 people, repeating the arrangements put in place for the previous World Cup fixture.
Puerto del Carmen (Tías) - Plaza del Varadero
Puerto del Carmen will also join the football party with a big screen set up in the Plaza del Varadero. The initiative will allow residents, tourists and fans to share the final together in one of the resort's main gathering places.
Playa Blanca (Yaiza) - Municipal square
In Playa Blanca, the final will once again be shown on the big screen installed in the municipal square for the Fiestas del Carmen. The same space that hosted the screening of the semi-final between Spain and France will bring together hundreds of fans once more to experience the climax of the World Cup in a festive atmosphere.
