Urban ephemeral decoration or light at the end of the tunnel

 In Canary Islands, News, Photography

Photographies: Rafa Hernández

They began to been seen on the night of last Thursday. On the walls of the tunnel that connects the neighborhood of Los Lirios with the center of Tías, images that broke the context of that pseudo-border crossing.

Near-scale photographs of real human beings in everyday activities such as walking or talking. Many of the images reflect the daily life of mobile phone use on a day-to-day basis. An act of urban decoration, common spaces, ephemeral, but remarkable.

It may be that the author sought to criticize the absorption of society in the installation of these images. Or it may be that I only want to liven up a passage that is visited daily by many people. In any case, and while it lasts, the vision crossing the border between Los Lirios and Tías is now different. It deserves a visit.
